Join Dr Ross MacPhee, curator of Race to The End of the Earth, American Museum of Natural History, as he recounts a gripping tale of Antarctic adventure and tragedy. Just 100 years ago, two teams—one British, the other Norwegian—set out to claim the South Pole, Earth’s last great geographical prize, but only one team returned.
Dr MacPhee will sign copies of his book, Race to The End (Sterling, 2010), at the conclusion of his lecture. Exhibition preview follows the presentation
